New episodes of the detective series Kriminálka Anděl (Nova) and the detective miniseries Docent (CT1) were the most successful non-news programmes of the first week of the autumn broadcast (26 August - 1 September). It featured several new shows for the fall broadcast, with more to follow.
Over 1.2 million viewers over the age of 15 were attracted by the opening episode of the sixth series of Kriminálka Anděl. With it, Nova confirmed its win on Monday night.
The start of the second series of Docent also got over 1.2 million viewers and won Sunday's prime time for CT1. Given that it aired on Sunday 1 September, the total viewership can be expected to increase further by viewers who watch this episode later (deferred viewership).
The fact that the detective genre is popular among Czech viewers is confirmed by the reruns of Police Modrava (Nova) and the series Specialisté (Nova), which ranked among the most watched non-news programmes in the past week.
The series ZOO (Prima) was successfully launched after the holidays and continues to have prime time in the 15+ and 18-69 audience groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jedna rodina ( Nova), which also offered new episodes after the summer break, continues to maintain its popularity among 15-54 viewers these days.
Wednesday night saw the first episode of the new series of Dvojka na zabití ( Prima). Also, the new series of the detective series Duch (Prima) achieved the best evening result in 15+. New foodie reality show Hell's Kitchen (Nova) appealed to the younger 15-54 audience on Wednesday.
