OMD AND PHD HAD THE HIGHEST SHARES IN ADVERTISING INVESTMENTS LAST YEAR

Audit firm Media Strategy presents data as part of its PPA Ranking for the full year 2024.

Media agencies OMD and PHD had the highest share of net investment in TV advertising among domestic media agencies last year. For the period from January to December 2024, both agencies' share stood at 12%. Specifically, it was 12.2% for OMD and 11.7% for PHD. This is according to a PPA Ranking comparison provided by Media Strategy. The next places were followed by Knowlimits (10.0%), EssenceMediacom (9.1%), Wavemaker (6.7%), Carat (6%) and Starcom (5.8%).

In terms of share of investment in TV advertising, calculated by media agency network, Omnicom Media Group had the largest share last year (25.8%) ahead of GroupM (19.9%) and Publicis Groupe (11.8%).

The PPA Ranking is calculated based on the number of client GRPs as monitored by Nielsen. The TV Price Pool Audit calculates the average cluster prices (NN CPP30") that clients should pay for a given amount of GRPs. This gives their estimated budget and assigns them to agencies and agency networks. Their share is then expressed.

The data (like the TV Price Pool Audit) is published by Media Strategy three times a year, for the periods January to June, January to October and January to December.
