Prima announced in a press release on Tuesday, April 1, "a ground-breaking news that pushes the boundaries of technological possibilities in Czech media." It said that a new collaborator had joined its team - a humanoid robot with artificial intelligence. "Our new colleague is ready to get involved in content creation and show how technology can enrich modern media," FTV Prima CEO Marek Singer said in an April statement.
Then, in a Tuesday broadcast of Showtime, Prima followed up on that information in a report featuring several presenters and the CEO, revealing that the new robotic teammate is actor Lukas Příkazký, the main character of the new series Parťák na baterky, which also touches on the topic of artificial intelligence.
The eight-part series Parťák na baterky combines crime fiction, comedy and modern technology. The prototype of artificial intelligence, the android Emil, is the main character, played by the aforementioned Lukáš Příkazký. The series was directed and written by Karel Janák.
"Artificial Intelligence is a phenomenon that has recently been moving the world significantly. But what will it be like when we actually start working with this artificial intelligence? Can AI one day replace us? Or will it become our true partner? These are the questions that have been on my mind for so long that I decided to write and film this series about them. And because I love humor and comedy, I looked at everything with the proper perspective and a great desire to entertain the audience. Our android Emil is just a prototype of an artificial detective, so he has a lot of flaws and shortcomings," Janák said.
The first episode of the comedy detective series "Parťák na baterky" will be broadcast by Prima on 30 April, a week earlier it will be offered on its video platform Prima+.
