The new theme song for the US presidential election was created by the composer of the House of Cards soundtrack.
CNN Prima News has unveiled a new theme song for a special broadcast dedicated to the American election. The song was created at this year's Composers Summit Prague in the workshop of American composer Jeff Beal, who composed, among other things, the music for the House of Cards series from the background of the highest American politics. The music can be heard in the regular Monday special - USA Elections: the fight is on at 13:30.
On the occasion of this year's Composers Summit Prague, a masterclass was created under the guidance of Hollywood composer Jeff Beale, where a group of composers attempted to put the spirit of the American election into the soundtrack. The winner was French-born Guillaume Cochard-Lemoine from Soundsgate, whose composition succeeded among the competition of other proposals and was praised by Jeff Beal himself. The basic theme was then used in collaboration with the Hollywood composer to create the current theme for CNN Prima News, which will accompany the multi-platform specials for the US elections. A subsequent underscore will complement the presentation of the election results.
CNN Prima News is preparing comprehensive news coverage of the US presidential election. Every Monday at 1:30 p.m., it will air a special recapping everything important that has happened in the run-up to the election over the past week. From mid-October, the news multiplatform will have two staffs in the US and by early November six reporters in different parts of the country. It is also planning American Election Night, in partnership with CNN, for 5 November.
