NOVA AND PRIMA INCREASED THEIR SHARES IN SEPTEMBER, ČT AT THE TOP IN 15+
4. 10. 20214. 10. 2021Stations of Česká televize remained the most watched TV group in September in the broadest category of viewers aged 15+. In all day broadcasting, their share was 28.32%. Positions in this viewer category have become more balanced. Nova increased its share year on year (+ 0.41 pp) to 27.88% and Prima saw an even higher addition (+ 0.81 pp) to 27.44%. This is the outcome of data collected in the official TV rating measurement of ATO-Nielsen Admosphere.
Nova is the strongest in the 15+ viewer group in prime time despite its year-on-year decrease (30.07%). Prima nearly drew level with Nova (29.75%) with its additional 1.19 pp year on year.
The category of viewers aged 15-54 saw a different development with Nova strengthening its position. Nova added 2.5 pp in all day broadcasting (a total of 35.55%), which was the best result of all TV groups. On the contrary, ČT and Prima decreased their shares year on year in this category. In prime time, Nova also improved its rating year on year (+0.40 pp) and increased its lead over its competitors.
Nova was the strongest also in category 15-69 with a year-on-year increase of more than one percentage point in all day broadcasting (30.86%). Prima achieved nearly the same result in September as last year (27.16%), In prime time, it increased its share by 0.70 percentage points to 29.62%.
In all viewer categories, Atmedia, and slightly also Stanice O, rose year on year. On the contrary, the Barrandov group’s share decreased.
The most watched programmes in September included new shows in this autumn broadcasting: series Ochránce (ČT1), Osada (ČT1), new episodes of the series Slunečná (Prima) and new series Pan Profesor (Nova) or Dvojka na zabití (Prima).
