Nova Group has come up with the launch of TN Live under the red button (in the HbbTV environment) in connection with the war in Ukraine. Viewers will now also find Nova Lady there. This station is on the Nova Group's offer from autumn 2021.
TV Nova said it sees HbbTV as an ever-evolving technology with great potential to deliver a more convenient user experience and a range of additional services. "Last year we launched three new features in HbbTV straight away. The first was the SVOD app Voyo. Another novelty was push notifications with important events - a breaking news bar, which is unprecedented in the Czech Republic. The last, but no less important innovation was the introduction of behavioural targeting max reach, which we developed with our technology partner Czech Radio Communications," said Josef Uher, Technical Director of TV Nova.
TN Live in the HbbTV offer allows viewers to watch a live internet news channel. Nova Lady in HbbTV is designed for viewers who cannot tune into the station in any other way, added Iva Dohnálková, business development manager of HbbTV.
Both news channels are placed in the HbbTV menu on Nova Group stations. The TN Live app offers multiple streams at the same time, namely TN Live, TN Live 2, TN Live World and currently, due to events, the broadcast of the Ukrainian channel 1+1 International.
HbbTV is one of the fastest developing technologies. Nearly 2.4 million viewers currently see the red button on Nova Group stations, the TV group further said.
HbbTV, or red button technology, connects TV broadcasting and the internet. A viewer with a smart TV connected to the internet is able to access additional content. He can start the Nova archive, the Voyo app, the TV programme, the weather or just the live broadcast of TN Live or the Nova Lady station.
