Apple is the world's most valuable brand, followed by Google and Microsoft, which overtook Amazon for third last year. Among non-technology brands, McDonald's took the top spot, with Coca-Cola returning to the top 10. This is according to the BrandZ ranking of the 100 most valuable brands in the world, compiled by the research company Kantar.
The index is still dominated by brands from the United States. Only Chinese media company Tencent and French luxury goods retailer Louis Vuitton have made it into the top ten.
The total value of the 100 brands is USD 6.9 trillion, a 20 percent drop compared to 2022. Only 16 brands in the top 100 showed growth in their value.
Technology brands are again the most represented in the Top 100. However, the luxury goods, fast food and food & beverage categories prove to be the most resilient to market fluctuations.
