To date, around 1,200 male and female applicants have applied via the form on the nakedattraction.cz website. "The largest group is made up of guys and men looking for women. Around 20 per cent are LGBT+ candidates," explained Óček's programme director Alexandr Guha. "Because casting is a very sophisticated process according to the licensing rules, we are looking for even more diverse girls, women and people with LGBT+ orientation so that individual adepts can be matched as best as possible," he added. Thus, casting is still ongoing and the first personal interviews have begun under the supervision of professionals. Naked dating is based on a counterbalance of false photos with filters in online dating sites, dangerous "catfishing", endless correspondence, routine meetings and unpleasant surprises in the bedroom. The show also includes education that breaks down false ideas around relationships, sexuality and body image, so anyone can apply.
"The show tries to include people of all shapes and sizes to represent a diversity of body types and contribute to positive body perception. That's where it's very beautiful. And we actually get information during the process about why it's actually ok not to look perfect," said psychologist and coach Hana Mezerová, who will guide the performers in the upcoming naked dating show from casting to airing. When it comes to the success of this show in the dating field, Naked Attraction is surprisingly quite successful at it. "I think it's just as successful as traditional dating shows. So there are a number of couples that have established long-term relationships as well. Some are living together. Even our very first couple from the very first episode (of the UK version) have formed a long-term relationship," revealed Lucy Heaven, a consultant for the licensor, All3Media.
