The debate between Prime Minister Fiala and ex-Prime Minister Babiš increased the share of CNN Prima News to almost 5% on Wednesday.
The operator of CNN Prima News reported that the station became the most watched news channel on Wednesday with a 4.87% share throughout the day. The result was helped by a superduel between Prime Minister Petr Fiala (Spolu) and opposition leader Andrej Babiš (ANO).
The programme reached (reach) 599 thousand viewers over 15 years of age. On average, it was watched (rating) by 316 thousand viewers (12% share).
On the CNNPrima.cz website and social networks it reached more than 500 thousand users. More than a quarter of a million TV viewers were reached by Pavlina Wolfová's 360° programme, in which commentators and political analysts assessed the performance of Petro Fiala and Andrej Babiš.
Tuesday's superdebate, which pitted the leaders of Přísaha and Motoristé sobě, Stačilo!, SPD and Trikolora, Piráti and STAN, reached 498,000 viewers (15+) and became the most-watched Tuesday news programme after 20:30.
The election week on CNN Prima News continues. On Friday, June 7, it will bring a special broadcast with Terezie Tománková from the European Parliament studios in Brussels. Guests will include the authors of the Brussels Dictate podcast Ondřej Houska and CNN Prima News host Michal Půr, and MEPs who are not defending their mandate - Jiří Pospíšil and European Parliament Vice-President Dita Charanzová.
European Election Night begins at 8pm on Sunday 9 June and continues until 5.55am on Monday morning, when it will be followed by a special post-election New Day.
