28. 6. 202428. 6. 2024
Applications for the Effie Czech Republic Advertising Effectiveness Competition are open until 18 August. The competition is open in 16 categories this year.

The most important domestic advertising and marketing effectiveness competition, Effie Czech Republic, is opening applications for its 27th year. Interested parties can submit applications for all 16 categories. Contestants will be able to apply for this year's competition from 26 June to 18 August. The 27th edition will place more emphasis on communication content than in the past.

"The old familiar 'content is king' applies more and more. In a world of multiple communication platforms, podcasts and social media, capturing the consumer's attention is essential. And you can't do that without quality content. However, it also still holds true: there is only one effectiveness, which is why Effie continues to provide space for full-format campaigns, digital campaigns, as well as PR campaigns, etc.," comments Ondřej Novák, Effie's Project Manager and ASMEA Director.

For the third time, the Effie will feature a Digital Marketing category and an award for the most effective use of YouTube, which will also be awarded this year by the main partner, the Czech Google. There will also be a Prima Video Awards and new this year will be an award for Best Use of Audio Content, whose partner is Active. The gala evening, which will undergo several changes this year, is scheduled for 14 November, traditionally at Kino Lucerna.

The Effie Awards have been distributed in the Czech Republic since 1997, and thousands of entries have passed through the competition during its existence on the Czech market. "The Internet and the digitalisation of the economy have brought a huge range of communication tools. This is logically reflected in Effie. This is also connected with the expansion of new categories and prizes and, last but not least, the streamlining of the evaluation method," explains Kateřina Hrubešová, Executive Director of the Association of Communication Agencies (AKA), which organises the competition.
