Soňa Schwarzová will be CME Chief People and Sustainability Officer and Hana de Goeij will be CME Head of Production Sustainability & Responsible Content. This new role for Hana de Goeij and expanded responsibilities for Soňa Schwarzová have been created to support the recently launched ESG strategy.
Launched in the first quarter of 2023, the CME Cares brand is the CME Group's vehicle for communicating its ESG strategy. Through CME Cares, the Group demonstrates its commitment to making a positive contribution to the development of the communities and societies in which it does business. CME Group is aware of the enormous reach it has through its 43 TV channels and online platforms. In particular, it recognises what a powerful tool they are for spreading inspiration, entertainment and information to audiences.
In order to fulfil its commitment to promoting sustainable behaviour, CME Group has become a member of the UN Global Compact, a leading global initiative bringing together companies that want to contribute to the global sustainability agenda.
