Sports TV channels O2 TV Sport and O2 TV Football will change to four new Oneplay Sport channels on Monday March 10. The existing broadcasts of the Chance League, the hockey Tipsport Extraliga and the domestic football MOL Cup will move to these channels. They will be complemented by live statistical analysis and camera shots from different angles.
O2 informed that nothing will change for O2 TV viewers until the end of this week. The O2 TV Sport channel will start broadcasting the preliminary rounds of the Extraliga play-offs on Friday. The O2 TV Football channel will exclusively offer the Prague derby between Sparta and Slavia on Saturday.
The change will come on Monday 10 March, when four new channels Oneplay Sport 1, Oneplay Sport 2, Oneplay Sport 3, Oneplay Sport 4 will be created from O2 TV Sport and O2 TV Fotbal. Viewers of current O2 TV will find the new Oneplay Sport stations (1, 2, 3) from the basic O2 TV Bronze tariff.
"Channel Oneplay Sport 1 will offer mainly football. The fan can look forward to all matches from the Chance League and the MOL Cup. Traditionally, on Monday nights, the entertainment show Tika-Taka will come on. Oneplay Sport 2 will primarily be the home of ice hockey. It will broadcast more than 400 live broadcasts from the entire Tipsport Extraliga season," said Marek Kindernay, managing director of sports channels at O2 TV Sport, on the focus of the channels. He added that on Oneplay Sport 4, viewers can choose hockey broadcasts in multidimensions. "This will offer a unique view of the entire match through the camera on the referees' helmet. For the Chance League, attractive live stats or up-to-the-minute electronic pencil analysis will be available in multidimension," Kindernay elaborated.
Oneplay Sport 1 will thus focus on football, especially matches from the Chance League and MOL Cup, complemented by basketball Euroleague and other sports content. Oneplay Sport 2 is primarily an ice hockey channel with more than 400 live broadcasts from the Tipsport Extraliga, and also offers motor racing championships and MMA tournaments. Oneplay Sport 3 combines basketball, MMA and selected football and hockey matches, while Oneplay Sport 4 focuses on both football and hockey with an emphasis on innovative technology and multi-dimensional broadcasts.
