The first of the titles that the group has prepared for its Voyo video platform is heading to TV Nova's linear broadcast. According to MediaGuru.cz, the miniseries Iveta will appear on the screens. The TV station will offer the first two series of this miniseries, but this is an exceptional step, TV Nova explained.
"As part of the celebration of TV Nova's thirtieth anniversary, we have decided to premiere the series Iveta from the Voyo Original series for the first time in history. For viewers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, on TV Nova and TV Markíza screens, we will offer both the first and second series of the biographical series Iveta, accompanied by the documentary trilogy Málo meš poznaš by director Tomáš Klein. The latter will provide a unique insight into Iveta Bartosova's career between 1980 and 1998, including never released archive footage,"
said TV Nova in a response to MediaGuru.cz.
The series of programmes dedicated to singer Iveta Bartošová, whose tragic death this year marks ten years since her death, will be concluded this year with the premiere of the third and final series of the Iveta series. Like all other Voyo Originals, it will be available exclusively on Voyo. More details, including air dates, will be announced by Nova in the coming days.
The first series of the Iveta miniseries was offered by the Voyo platform as part of its Voyo Originals production in the spring of 2022. The three-part first series focused on the career rise of singer Iveta Bartošová, played by Anna Fialová, and her relationship with Petr Sepeši, portrayed by Vojtěch Vodochodský. The second series of the miniseries followed a year later, in the spring of 2023.
So far, TV Nova has not included any of its titles from the Voyo Original production. The first one Voyo offered as part of its original production was the miniseries The Roubal Case in the fall of 2021. This was followed by the miniseries Guru in January 2022 and National Handball, Morning Glow and the first series of the miniseries Iveta in spring 2022. The latter, with the already-launched series Methodo Markovic: Hojer, is Voyo Original's main premiere draw for this spring.
The most likely day for Iveta to air will be Sunday primetime. In the last third of March (March 24), the Hvar Police series will close and a new show will open up from March 31.
Parent CME announced on Monday that the number of subscribers to its Voyo service in all six markets where it is active stands at one million.
