The series, based on a theme by journalist Jaroslav Kmenta, became the most successful original show on Voyo last year. It caught the attention of the distribution company Keshet International with its concept, theme, production design and cast. The first of the international screenings will be on 19 and 20 February at the prestigious Berlin Festival.
The miniseries follows the activities of a secret intelligence agency tasked with taking care of Czech citizens in distress and helping them return home. The team (Jan Révai and Jakub Štáfek), led by Leona Váchová (Pavla Gajdošíková), solves the case of two Czech women (Michaela Petřeková and Gabriela Heclová) who were kidnapped during their tourist trip to India. This triggers a rescue mission full of behind-the-scenes political games, including cooperation with the CIA.

The fact that the script prescribes the actors with an extensive amount of English dialogue, all those superbly shot scenes from Turkish locations then add to the international appeal of this spy thriller. Keshet International is the global production and distribution arm of Israeli media company Keshet Media Group. In addition to developing and producing original formats, it acquires successful series from around the world. For example, it was behind the creation of the Israeli series Prisoners of War, which was the precursor to the successful series In the Name of the Fatherland starring Claire Danes, which picked up five Golden Globe Awards.
