From 10 March, a new Oneplay service will launch, merging the existing O2 TV and Voyo. In their place will come a single Oneplay offering. What will change for subscribers of both services and what steps will follow? We summarise in the text below.
Changes for O2 TV subscribers
- Transfer: The exact date and full details of the transfer will be emailed to each O2 TV subscriber at least one month in advance. In the meantime, he/she can watch O2 TV without any change. However, Oneplay can be tested for free from the launch on 10.3. until the transfer. The same login details as for O2 TV are required. Transfers will begin on 10 March and are expected to last for three months - O2 TV is expected to tell users in advance when it will be their turn.
- Tariff price: A basic Oneplay Comfort subscription with 55 channels and 2,000 films in the video library will cost Cr199 per month. There will also be more expensive subscription variants Extra Entertainment with 100 channels for 399 CZK per month, Extra Sport with 90 channels for 599 CZK and Maximum tariff with 142 channels for 799 CZK.
- Change of tariffs: With the introduction of Oneplay, the composition and prices of TV packages are changing. O2 intends to offer the new TV tariffs to users in a way that matches the packages they have been using. For example, subscribers of the existing O2 TV Silver tariff (CZK 549) will be migrated by O2 primarily to Oneplay Extra Sport (CZK 599 per month, with O2's mobile tariff for CZK 499). If a user has been on the O2 TV Blue tariff, it will be replaced with the new Oneplay to Internet for Free plan, which includes 42 TV channels and five titles per month from the video library (excluding Oneplay Originals). Once the migration is complete, customers will be able to edit and change tariff plans in My O2 and across all sales channels.
- Cost to users: Once O2 TV has migrated to Oneplay, O2 will start charging for Oneplay. However, prices for users may vary depending on whether they are O2 customers and what services they use with O2. For users of mobile tariffs, the prices for individual TV packages are discounted by CZK 50 for the Extra Entertainment package and CZK 100 for the Extra Sport and Maximum packages compared to the above prices. However, customers using multiple services from O2 (O2 Together) can also benefit from a cashback of CZK 300 from the Unity programme if the user has CZK 600 worth of services with O2, pays them from an account at Air Bank and makes at least five payments during the month. Generally, the more services a customer uses from O2, the higher the discount they get. The specific amount of the Oneplay discount will be visible in the O2 account or on the O2 website.
- Content: With the launch of Oneplay, new content packages will be introduced. All subscribers will gain access to the Voyo video library and the new Oneplay Originals. The HBO and Cinemax movie channels are dropping out of the new Maximum tariff. Basic tariffs allow viewing on one device, but a family viewing package can be purchased for £99 to watch on up to three devices simultaneously. The exception is the Maximum tariff, which includes the ability to watch on three devices without having to buy a family package.
- Change in number of channels and prices: The cheapest new Comfort package (CZK 199, 55 channels) has no direct equivalent in the old offer. Extra Entertainment (CZK 399, 100 channels) has the same price as the former O2 TV Bronze (CZK 399, 75 channels) but offers more channels (+25) and access to Voya. Extra Sport (CZK 599, 90 channels) is more expensive than O2 TV Silver (CZK 549, 119 channels) and has fewer TV channels (-29). Maximum (799 Kč, 142 channels) is cheaper than the original O2 TV Gold (899 Kč, 149 channels) but contains 7 fewer channels. It does, however, bring the viewing options of the existing Voyo platform. Below we summarise and compare all the changes to O2's old and new tariffs.

Changes for Vovo subscribers
- Transfer: If users have a Voyo subscription, their profile will be automatically transferred to Oneplay, specifically the Comfort plan. This offers access to 55 TV channels in addition to Voyo's existing production and offerings. The monthly price of the Comfort plan is 199 CZK.
- Price: The remaining days of the Voyo subscription will be transferred to Komfort on March 10 for users who pay by invoice, at the already paid price of CZK 159. The following month will also be at the original price of 159 Kč, increasing to 199 Kč after that month. For as long as customers are charged 159 CZK (i.e. the first payment after the migration), they still have the option of simultaneous viewing on two devices.
- Login details: To log in to Oneplay, users will use the same details as for Voyo. If they use automatic app updates, the Oneplay app should replace the Voyo app.
- Content: By transferring from Voyo and Oneplay Comfort, subscribers will gain access to existing Voyo content and now 55 TV channels.
- Availability: Oneplay will be available on the web, apps and smart TVs. There will also be new support for Apple TV and Google Chromecast. Viewing will be possible for subscribers on two devices simultaneously. Some older devices may not be compatible with the app. See list of supported devices (above).
Voyo and O2 TV subscribers at the same time
- It is recommended to cancel one of the subscriptions to avoid double payment. If you prefer the content offered by O2 TV (e.g. sports and live TV channels), it may be better to cancel Voyo. Conversely, if you consider original content and films or series from Voyo to be more important and are less interested in sports broadcasts, it may be more worthwhile to consider cancelling O2 TV.
