The Prima Group plans to expand its portfolio of stations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The Prima television group has sent an application to the Radio and Television Broadcasting Council (RRTV) for a licence for its next channel. It is to be distributed in terrestrial broadcasting and IPTV. Prima names it in the application as Prima X.
This year, Prima launched a version of the thematic channel Prima Cool for the Slovak market and plans to launch the Prima Love channel in Slovakia before the end of the year. As Prima Group CEO Marek Singer confirmed in an interview with MediaGuru.cz, these will not be the only channels for Slovakia. There are also others in the pipeline. According to our information, Prima Max and Prima Krimi channels are to get their Slovak equivalents.
According to Marek Singer, the expansion of the number of channels is also being prepared in the Czech Republic. "We are also preparing new products for the Czech market, which we will introduce during the autumn," Prima's CEO told our website. He has not yet specified the thematic focus of the news.
