Prima Television is satisfied with the results of the prima+ app, which it launched at the beginning of February. The paid access to the video service is used by 85,000 people. When the project was launched, it announced that it would like to have 100,000 paying users within a year.
"Overall, even with the non-paid version, we have almost 700 thousand users. And already over 85 thousand people have subscribed to the prima+ service. Most of them have the Premium version without ads," said Prima's CEO Marek Singer in an interview with the Marketing & Media weekly.
The Premium tariff costs CZK 149 per month and allows watching programmes in Full HD. In contrast, in the non-paid version, picture quality is reduced to SD, there are ads in the shows and users do not have access to series previews or original content filmed just for the internet.
"So far, fortunately, positive expectations have been met, not fears. We're learning as we go what works and doesn't work, and figuring out what content we'll need to add and what we'll need to take away. We are at the beginning," said Marek Singer.
