The Prima+ video service, which will launch during Wednesday 8 February, offers users three viewing options. In the non-ad-funded version (free version), it envisages airing approximately 9 minutes of advertising for each video of 50-60 minutes. In the light version, which works with a reduced subscription price and a smaller portion of advertising, it plans to show users half of the advertising, i.e. about 4.5 minutes in an hour, Petr Hatlapatka, sales director of Media Club's online division, told MediaGuru.cz when asked.
Since 8 February, Prima+ has replaced the existing iPrima.cz server in Media Club's advertising package. According to Hatlapatka, the launch of Prima+ does not change anything for advertisers and they can order campaigns as before. The price of advertising remains the same.
"In the first phase, we will deploy advertising campaigns on the Prima+ website as they have been running on iPrima.cz. In the next phase, we would like to enter into special collaborations with our clients, either in the launch of individual formats or genres, or in the context of subscriptions and special voucher offers,"
describes Petr Hatlapatka.
As we previously reported, the three basic models of Prima+ are: free (free with advertising), light (99 CZK per month, 50% advertising) and premium (149 CZK per month, no advertising). The discounted subscription is available to those users who have already used the "iPrima video library without ads", which was charged at CZK 89/month. The same price will apply to the highest tariff on Prima+. Viewers who migrate between the two services and do not cancel their subscription will get permanent access with an introductory 40% discount.
Since its launch, Prima+ will include three new series within the Prima+ Originals line-up, namely Seven Steps to Power by columnist Josef Klíma, the progressive fiction genre comedy series Bodyguards (starring Predrag Bjelac, Adam Ernest and Ondřej Malý) and the detective series Midnight Confession, which is to be an eight-part mystery crime series starring Marketa Plánková and Mark Lambora.
