"We are very pleased to have received two prestigious awards from Athens, which confirm Prima Group's position as a leader in hybrid TV. The victory shows that our innovations in the field of HbbTV and video services are successful and effective not only on the Czech market, but also internationally, and we are pleased that our experience and know-how can be an inspiration for other countries,"
says Daniel Grunt, Director of New Media at FTV Prima, who accepted the awards in Athens together with Prima Group's HbbTV Manager, Iva Nesrstova.
The award for the Best Marketing and Promotion in HbbTV category went to the Prima Group for the Red Button awareness and image campaign, where it introduced the HbbTV environment with the help of its ambassador Karel Voříšek. The second award went to Prima for the Best Use of HbbTV for Enhanced TV Services - specifically for the Video Rental Service (TVOD) on the HbbTV platform, through which it is easy to purchase previews of popular series of its own creation, such as Modrý kód or Temný kraj.
There are 7 categories in the HbbTV Awards each year. For the 8th edition, a total of 46 applications were received from 13 countries. 10 entries were received from the Czech Republic, half of which were from the Prima Group, which were also shortlisted and awarded in 2 categories.
