Nova Television will include special news programmes in its Sunday broadcasts and change the theme of its discussion programme Five Minutes to Twelve. The programme changes are due to the flood situation.
The first Extraordinary Television News was broadcast on Sunday at 9.35 a.m., the next ones will be at 3.45 p.m. and 5.58 p.m. Sunday's discussion Five Minutes to Twelve will focus entirely on the floods from 11.55 a.m., with Agriculture Minister Marek Výborný (KDU-ČSL) and Shadow Agriculture Minister Margita Balaštíková (ANO) in the studio. Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS), Interior Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN), Moravian-Silesian Region Governor Josef Bělica (ANO) and South Bohemian Region Governor Martin Kuba (ODS) will join the remote broadcast.
Unlike Czech Television or Prima, Nova does not have its own news station and therefore offers extraordinary broadcasts on its website TN.cz in the TN Live stream. Czech Television and TV Prima are covering the floods in special broadcasts on ČT24 and CNN Prima News. Czech Television also inserts emergency information bars into the broadcasts of its other stations.
The guests of the extraordinary Questions by Václav Moravec will be the head of the Central Flood Commission Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL), the Minister of Agriculture Marek Výborný (KDU-ČSL), and the editors of the Moravian-Silesian, Olomouc and South Bohemian Regions. Other guests will be the Director of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute Mark Rieder and the Director General of the Fire Rescue Corps Vladimír Vlček.
Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) and Interior Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN) will be on Terezie Tománková's Partia Prima and CNN Prima News from 11 a.m. The discussion will also be moderated by Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and TOP 09, and Karel Havlíček, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and ANO. The political discussion will also be attended by Olga Richterová, a pirate, Marek Benda of the ODS, Patrik Nacher of ANO and Radek Koten of the SPD.
