The name of the new station - Nova - was chosen from thousands of suggestions and ideas sent in by viewers. Soon after its launch, TV Nova established itself a leading position as a commercial television station on the Czech television market.
TV Nova, which has entertained millions of viewers of all generations for almost three decades, has produced over hundreds of thousands of hours of broadcasting, thousands of hours of news and journalism and tens of thousands of hours of films, series, reality shows and entertainment programmes. Over the years, it has expanded to include several themed stations, offering viewers the widest range of programming.
"We are proud to have been an important part of our viewers' lives for 29 years, bringing them quality news, entertainment, moments of suspense and emotion. During this time we have contributed to the development of the Czech media market, made TV Nova a strong and stable brand, strengthened its leading position in the television market and managed to expand its reach into the online world,"
says Daniel Grunt, CEO of TV Nova, adding: "And what are the hopes for the next few years? We want to continue to be an integral part of Czech households, to take the side of our viewers, to be a respected employer, a key local player among SVOD services and a reliable partner for our business clients. Above all, our rich past is a strong commitment to our future.
