OČKO Television began broadcasting on 1 October 2002 under the name Stanice O as the first Czech music television. It happened symbolically on the day when the International Music Day is celebrated. On both of these occasions, ÓČKO broadcast exactly 22 years later a total of 220 of the most successful music videos of the last 10 years. Viewers will thus be treated to a marathon of 15 hours of the best music videos of the last decade.
"ÓČKO is currently one of the most socially engaged among domestic media, so we turned to our hundreds of thousands of followers to contribute their picks for their favourite hits from the last decade. Fans will thus have a unique opportunity to directly influence both the specific selection of clips on air and their final ranking," says ÓČKA Alexandr Guha, program director. The record-breaking music marathon will kick off at 5:00 am and end at 9:30 pm, when the warm-up of hot hits begins before the premiere episode of the hot Spanish version of the reality show Naked Attraction Iberia, which will spice up the all-day birthday party.
The final "top twenty" of the best clips will be aired by ÓČKO again in an extra TOP 22 on Saturday, October 5 at 4pm.
