The online video library prima+ will offer its users three premiere titles in September and October. These include the six-part co-production miniseries Na vlnách Jadranu and the series Malá velká liga (Little Big League) and Banáni (Bananas).
The VOD service prima+, launched in February this year, has now 90,000 paying users and almost 700,000 have registered with the service, said Prima Group CEO Marek Singer before the press conference on the autumn programme.
Prima+ offers three tariffs - free, cheaper with a certain amount of advertising and premium. The service works as standard on internet-connected TVs, mobile devices, HbbTV and online. In the future, the company plans to further expand the number of such devices and is preparing agreements with other entities (manufacturers), including operators, to which it will offer a technical solution in the form of an app for their set-top boxes. These steps are a matter of the coming months.
Prima+ is preparing three new series for September and October as part of its premium offer Prima+ Originals. The six-part co-production miniseries Na vlnách Jadranu is a loose continuation of the series Pod povrchem. The coastal police team, in which two Czechs serve during the season to help Czech tourists, solves tourist cases related to the sea and the marina. It also unravels the mystery of the main character - a Czech policeman who comes to the Adriatic to close his past. The series features Matěj Hádek, Adam Ernest and Natálie Germáni.
Malá velká liga will offer a comedy series from a school and football environment. Marek Němec, as a football coach, is fired from his job and expelled from the club after a fight with the rising star of his club, a young striker (Marek Lambora). In addition, due to destruction of personal property, assault and resisting arrest while under the influence of alcohol, he is sentenced to several months of community service without parole.
The series Banáni takes viewers to a frontier supermarket environment. A young storekeeper (Cyril Dobrý) finds over 100 kilos of cocaine worth hundreds of millions of dollars in a shipment of bananas from Colombia. Motivated by his previous failures, he decides to start selling the drugs and with his partners (Sandra Nováková and Ondřej Malý) he starts a successful business until the original owners claim the drugs.
