The basic subscription to Voyo will increase by two euros per month in Slovakia. The price of Voyo subscriptions is also expected to increase in the Czech Republic.

The streaming service Voyo is to change the price of the standard subscription for new customers to €7.99 (approx. CZK 200) in Slovakia from 20 January 2025. This makes it more expensive by two euros, or about 50 CZK. The new price for this type of subscription will affect existing Voyo customers gradually at the next payment from 19 February. The price of the Voyo maximum subscription, which also includes sports content, remains unchanged (€11.99). The new price list was announced on Monday by Markiza TV.

The Voyo service is also expected to become more expensive in the Czech Republic. As TV Nova CEO Daniel Grunt told Blesk before Christmas, this should happen later this year. According to him, the price increase should be on the level of tens of crowns per month. The current Voyoa subscription price is currently 159 CZK per month.

According to TV Markiza, the change in the price of the standard subscription has become inevitable, as its amount has not changed since 2011, when Voyo was established. "Voyo continuously prepares and delivers an increasing number of exclusive series under the Voyo Original brand, and this year we will offer our subscribers even more premiere content than last year. These days they can already watch the first episodes of the gripping family drama based on true events, The Well, or a few weeks later the sequel to the popular King of Šumava. Subscribers can also look forward to new Voyo documentaries coming soon, and we will be bringing films such as Treasure and Amerikánka and many more from the cinemas directly to Voyo at the beginning of the year. I am convinced that the year 2025 will be full of news that will definitely delight our subscribers," said Silvia Majeská, Programme Director of the Markíza Group.
