6. 1. 20256. 1. 2025
Czech Television is introducing the first news from its spring schedule in the week of 6 January. Nova and Prima are starting the year with new episodes of well-known shows or reruns. They will introduce the new programmes in the following weeks of the new year.

Starting Wednesday, January 8, Czech Television will present for the first time the series Dcera národa about the fate of Karl Havlíček Borovský's daughter (at 21:05). Then, starting Sunday, January 12, the new series Limity will start. Over eight evenings in January and February, it will tell the story of how a toxic waste entrepreneur (Aleš Háma) turns into an environmental activist. And on Friday, January 17, a new series Děcko, which develops the themes of direct adoption and foster care, will premiere. Monday's second prime-time window will premiere publicist shows The Fenomé doby, Reportéři+ and Galerie Selfie.

Detective series are represented on CT's schedule this time around, either in reruns (Případy 1. oddělení) or acquisition form (Komisařka Florence). Foreign productions are also represented by the Italian series Srdce.

The commercial TV channels Nova and Prima enter the first month of the year in prime time with mostly well-known programmes. Nova has brought back the last series of its Jedna rodina series, which airs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, right from the beginning of January. Prima is contrasting it with its last fall's novelty series Kamarádi. New episodes will be broadcast the week of January 6.

Výměna manželek (TV Nova, Wednesdays at 20:20) will premiere in January and will be replaced by the reality Utajený šéf at the end of January. In January, Nova also presents new episodes of the already launched reality Bachelor Czech Republic.

In the case of series production, both commercial rivals are reaching for reruns. Nova is repeating Specialisté (Mondays, two episodes at a time) and Policie Modrava (Sundays, two episodes at a time), and Prima is bringing back Pod hladinou reruns on Wednesday nights.

The new format this time is mainly presented by TV Prima's evening broadcast, in which on Monday 6 January starts ZOO Nové začátky (from 18:00).

The new programming scheme is being bet on TV Barrandov from January. It will be based, among others, on the Danish series Zločin, talkshow Tomáš Magnuszka, Ales Cibulka and his show or Josef Klíma.
